I’m Terry Bates, candidate for the Cherry Creek School Board in District D.

The Cherry Creek School District has played a vital role in helping my five children grow into well-rounded adults.

I want to give back—bringing my time and financial expertise at a moment when funding for public education is at risk. I grew up in a family of educators, and public education has always been part of my life—and my children’s, too. I’m running because I believe every student in Cherry Creek deserves opportunities that inspire curiosity and personal growth.

Join me as we work to continue financial stewardship and transparency in the district, work with parents, teachers, and administrators to maintain our tradition of excellence, and explore innovative improvements to create opportunities for every child to thrive.

Terry's Priorities

Strong schools are the foundation of a thriving, successful community. I’ve seen firsthand what a great public education can do for young adults, and I want to continue to support excellence in our schools to create opportunities for every child to thrive.

Funding for public education is under attack at the state and federal levels. It’s more important than ever for public school districts to maximize taxpayer investment and ensure every dollar is used effectively and with integrity.

Public education is evolving, and so is CCSD. That means we must explore public-private partnerships and other innovative partnerships to provide one-of-a-kind opportunities for students and foster hands-on learning that prepares students for the workplace of the future.
